Frequently Asked Questions
I have minimal computer skills, will I still be able to use your service?
Yes. If you navigated to this website and have basic email skills you will not have any problems.
Who enters my clients email addresses?
You will. You will be provided a portal where you enter your photo, and enter email addresses. You can enter your email address in bulk or one at a time as you gain new clients. You will also be able to add your own personal greeting.
Is my client’s information kept private?
Yes. We never share your client’s information or send them any other sales, pop-ups, or website information. The newsletter will always appear to have been written for them by you.
Is there a limit on the number of newsletters that get sent out?
The e-newsletter is a tool to be used for staying in contact with your past and present clients, not mass mailings. Our standard price allows us to send up to
250 newsletters each month for you. After that we have to charge an additional $10.00 for each additional block of
250 newsletters sent.
Anti-spam laws are in place, is this can-spam compliant?
Yes. The e-newsletter is in opt-in opt-out format. Each e-newsletter will also have the senders email address (your email address) included which makes it compliant.
Also if a client opts-out of receiving the newsletter, that address is blocked so they do not receive future e-newsletters. Your tracking report will have information for you if someone opts-out. If they ever decide they would like to receive the e-newsletter again, all they have to do is opt-in again.
Can I add my own messages?
Yes. One week before the e-newsletter is sent out to your clients, we send it to you to review. This serves two purposes. One is it allows you to read the articles for that months issue. Your clients see the e-newsletter as being written by you for them so you know what your clients are going to see before hand. Second purpose is at the top of each newsletter we provide a standard greeting. If you like it don’t do anything. If you want to change it, you can do so in your portal.
Are you services affordable?
Our rates are competitive to other newsletter services that only provide you with a fraction of the services we provide for you. We are creating the e-newsletter, sending on your behave so that the newsletter appears to have been written by you for your client, tracking readership and providing you with tracking reports (lets you see which past clients are in the research phase of their next move), and also sending you (for free) our “Agent’s Corner” e-newsletter (marketing tips and advice for Realtors).
Your cost is less than a dollar a day to stay in contact with all your past and present clients. That’s less than the cost of a cup of coffee down at the gas station. One repeat or referral sale per year will pay for several years of our service.
After I sign up and pay what happens then?
Once you have filled out the subscription form and made your payment we will receive a message form Pay Pal that your payment has been accepted. Once we receive this information we will email you a password to your portal area where you can enter your photo, and the email address of your clients. This is all easily explained when you receive the email from us. We usually have everything processed on our end within 24 hours on Monday through Friday CDT.
Our send date is the third Wednesday of each month. You will receive a preview of each month’s e-newsletter one week before the e-newsletter is sent out, on the second Wednesday of each month (this allows you to enter your own personal message). Your billing starts on the month that we first send you your preview e-newsletter.
Why is tracking my e-newsletter important?
Have you ever wondered if anyone is reading your mail or looking at your website? Your website may have a number of views counter *12,457 views* but it doesn’t tell you who viewed it or for that matter what parts they viewed. Our tracking report not only lets you see who is reading the e-newsletter but also which articles they looked at and how many times.
Knowing who and what your clients are reading helps you better market your services to that client.
Why do you call it a “Warm Call” report and why do I get a report 1, 3, and 7 days after the e-newsletter is sent?
When you enter your client’s email address you can also enter their name and phone number. NAR states that a typical home buyer starts their new home research 3 to 4 weeks before contacting a Realtor. They start looking at listings, checking interest rates, and trying to figure out how much house they can afford.
Your “Warm Call” reports tells you which of your past clients are doing this research. They started their research from your e-newsletter because it’s what they see each month.
Each “Warm Call” report tells you the email address, name, and phone number of every client that reads an article. When you see them researching your website listings and checking the interest rates, it’s time to get in contact with them. This could be a simple email or better yet, a “Warm Call”.
I hate cold calls and those awkward opening statements. Now you have a great beginning to your conversation “ Hi Mrs. Jones, I see you have been reading my newsletter….”
What is “Lifestyle Content for Today’s Homeowner” and why not send sales information?
Our articles are professionally written to give value to the homeowner. Lifestyle content is articles that your clients will find interesting and useful about home ownership. Articles cover such topics as maintenance, repairs, building products and fixtures, and tips for around the house, you know almost everything a homeowner encounters when owning a home.
It has to have value to the homeowner or they will not read the e-newsletter. Readership keeps your name in front of your client every month so they know you are there to help them when the time comes. If your client sees this as a sales pitch and they are not looking to make a move, then they click trash, click opt-out, click you just lost a client.
An NAR survey says that only 19% of annual home sales are to first time home buyers. Over 60% choose a Realtor that was referred to them by a friend or family member.
Chances are that the majority of your clients have used another Realtor other than you in the past. Now that they have used your services, you want to keep them. If your e-newsletter has value to the homeowner, they will continue to read it. Receiving the e-newsletter puts your photo, contact information, and website listings in their sight every month. Take ownership of your clients.
I haven’t fully made up my mind on purchasing your service at this time but can I still receive your free “Realtor’s Corner” e-newsletter?
